Okay, took Peter's suggestion and got the same Fiverr vocalist that Lamar used. New link in first post. Could still ask for revisions, so suggestions/feedback welcome! Thank you all!

Well, the lead is better, but the Chorus - IMHO - needs better/stronger harmony vocals.
NO - you're not competing with The Eagles - nevertheless, the old familiar "Don't bore us - get to the Chorus" -
is kinda to be expected for this iconic/classic song.

Harmony is the magical ear-candy that draws listeners into your song/music.

That's just my ears' opinion.

Peter, thank you! Just want to make sure you were listening to the latest, because we just finished re-doing the harmony vocals. The link is in the first post now, but I'll put it here, too:

Peaceful Easy Feeling with new harmony vocals (harmony starts around 1:40)

Hmmm... well, at :43 (?) when the Chorus comes in, it still sounds like a solo voice... maybe I'm missing something?
If you're open to mix critiques still - the brushes could be pulled back a few DB.
Not to be discouraging - because I think you're onto a good interpretation, stylistically - I'm digging it.

When I mentioned Lamar Pecorino - I was meaning HIS Jazzy-vocal chops: a bit more in the Big Band/Swing/Crooner style.
I think he'd sound great doing this version of the song - if he's willing and wants to.

PS: sent you a PM with an example/idea.
Cheers.

Funny, because I talked with Lamar, and he thought you must mean the guy from Fiverr!

I'm sorry if I misunderstood your needs. I would have been happy to provide a more vintage vibe to your track.
Onward and upward!

The original song the first chorus doesn't have any harmony and is a solo vocal.

While that is true, more 'Contemporary' productions tend to cater to the 'less patient' audiences of today;
i.e: very little or no Intro, and 'go big, sing-along Chorus SOON'... is quite a departure from music from the era of The Eagles.
But, your point is understood; thanks.

Thanks, Mark. I actually meant who we might hire in the future if we want someone to mix for us. (Though will look at the doc you reference, too!)
I would always advocate teaching yourself, if you you work through the book I linked you to then by the end of it you won't need to hire anyone and can put the money towards a professional singer
