Hello Zaychi,

First, I think it's a great foundation and quite pretty!

Def. with the others re: too many notes (I feel your pain ;). Also agree with comments re: the varying levels for the two registers of piano. Is there a slight de-tuning there? (It may have been a choice but for me, it makes it a less sad...? I hear it more on the lower registers but that may just be the volumes.

One small thing - at ~1:16 of the new version there is a small distortion event.

Overall, I don't get sad from this. For me, in the high part especially, there's a feeling of curiosity, sometimes a little playfulness. And then underlying that, foreboding, a bit of tension.

I don't mind that the piano parts sound different -- it actually adds interest for me. One of the reference tracks, "Love Lost," seems to have some of that, too. But the duality probably does lend to my sense of two different emotional threads.

Everyone, thanks for your comments. I adjusted the main line a bit towards the high-end settings, to bring them closer together, and killed another 33 notes, and made the compression a bit tougher as well to help with some of the sound issues raised. The result is on my artist page; submitted it just now. I'd really like to thank everyone who participated on this thread, you've all been a great help and helped me create a better track!!
