Pizzicato Xmas
Hi all,
Don't know if I will have comment on this one...
Please submit ORIGINAL Pizzicato-based Instrumentals that convey a Christmas sound, style, and tone. Your submissions should include instruments you’d commonly hear in Christmas music, such as (but not limited to) sleigh bells, hand bells, chimes, etc.
TAXI TIP: You’d be wise to aim for a more cheerful, emotionally upbeat sound and vibe, rather than anything moody, sad, or down-tempo. Our educated guess tells us that these could get used in TV Commercials where Santa is seen coming out of a chimney or scenes with family members sneaking around trying to sneak gifts into the house, hide gifts until they're placed under the tree, or late-night shaking of gifts under the tree while trying to guess what's inside. We could also see this kind of music playing in some Santa's Workshop scenes - busy little elves and all

Still working on the mix.
Thanks for your insight...

Hi Pveniot,
Really good......until the little part starting at :47 - :50 brings it way down and one note sounds out of key.
Maybe cut out the entire part from about :35 to :50 and have it somehow go from :35 right to :50....fix it up to fit together...somehow!!!!
Besides that little part...its very nice!
Tim

Thanks, you really have a good ear, the tubular bells are struck in octaves but at :47 they where a major 7th!!! Fixed...
As for the part. itself, i think I need a bridge because the song could be too short, they ask for 2 min more or less.
I will try to ''beef up'' the part with a nice celesta melody...
Work in progress..
Many thanks again...

Re: Pizzicato Xmas
You are correct...it does need a bridge...
Just make sure it doesn't bring down the mood!!!!
Maybe at :47 don't continue the notes going down...go up into the next part.
What ever you do.... keep it festive and light and happy sounding!!!!!
Again,,,, my 2 cents worth!

Re: Pizzicato Xmas
How did it work out? I'm curious to hear.
Got to say, the structure of music cue requests is strange. If they are only going to take 10-20 seconds and play with the order, why does it matter where the bridge (etc) is?
I mean it has to be listenable, it has to make sense as music, but isn't it going to be chopped up anyway?

Re: Pizzicato Xmas
I'm wondering if they want it to be viable for multiple uses. I suppose they want the option to be able to have a long cue with a dynamic bridge and such. That way they don't have to try to splice short unrelated songs together. I've gotten to the point where I have an intro, sections, bridge, and outros for everything I write these days.mikehamm123 wrote:How did it work out? I'm curious to hear.

Yeah, that makes sense. I give them variety but structure is puzzling (I've had cues returned for both too much and too little variation, etc)Unstar wrote:I'm wondering if they want it to be viable for multiple uses. Well, it was forwarded, and the screener also mentionned that there where cue points available.mikehamm123 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 27, 2018 8:31 pmHow did it work out? I'm curious to hear.

Great to hear!
I did this cue and got a forward as well.
Fortunately pizzicato is the one sound my string library does well.
Have a great holiday!
