Pod X3 Live help
Does anyone here know what Mac OS, X3 Live firmware version and Gearbox version work together? I'm thinking of getting an old laptop to just run the Gearbox app on and use it to load and edit my pedal board. Doing upgrades I can't remember which releases worked before the whole thing went to hell in a hand basket.

X3L owner, here, recording on a Mac Pro. I'm on Yosemite, but I don't really use Gearbox, and I don't use the X3L as my interface, I just jack the XLR output into my Zen Studio. My X3L is on the latest firmware revision, so you're welcome to compare notes, I'm just not sure if I can help you.

Re: Pod X3 Live help
Hi Mojo, thanks for the reply. I think the last time I had gearbox running was on Yosemite before I upgraded to El Capitan. I never used mine as an interface either.
I never bonded with the XL3 GUI. I'm really p....d off like a lot of XL3 users that support was dropped by Line 6. I'm a bit gun shy of touching any of their gear again.
The desktop app was great for a semi blind fart like me.
To get back to that Nirvana one needs older firmware and gearbox versions and an OS up to Yosemite.
I'm just going to bin it as space is at a premium.

Re: Pod X3 Live help
Editing with the floorboard is a PITA, but I guess I just got used to it. It can be flaky when trying to save routings with a preset. The Helix is better and way easier to use, but at three times the price, I won't be upgrading anytime soon. In fact, I'm building a (mostly) analog guitar rig, cuz I don't use much beyond a little delay and reverb.
