Hi, Thanks for your recommendations. I bought the Arturia MiniLab mkII and am very pleased with it. It has one of the best key action sensitivity among electric keyboards, just about the right amount of bounciness and feel. It is most important to me that this feel as musical as reasonable possible. The touch sliders work well and feel musical enough considering it is a 25 key midi controller and actual spin wheels would break much more easily in a backpack. There is some tradeoff for portability convenience.
