Post by gerigates » Fri Oct 24, 2008 6:47 pm

Hi Everyone;I Want To Know What Keeps You Coming Back Every Year?Is it always different? Also have any of you recorded the rally in the past. These recordings would be of great interest to me & others I'm sure.I can't wait to attend this years rally I'm get so pumped the more that I think about it. I will be recording this years for my own benefit. (Yes I did call & ask & was told to go for it just in case anyone was wondering)I figure the more you soak it in through out the year from a listening stand point the better you become. So heres this new thread I am very interested as to what you veterens have to say.Geri

( http://taxi.proboards27.com/index.cgi?b ... hread=9982)I strongly recommend that when the final schedule comes out, all ya'll print off the main Schedule, the Driver's Ed classes, and the list of mentors... and bring this with you on the plane/train/drive... because you'll need to set priorities and make choices as to how to spend your time.I'm getting pumped too!!!! I leave for CA one week tonight... can't wait to see everyone at the RR!!cheersHummin'bird

What keeps me coming back is the incredible amount of information available. In 3 years I still have not taken all of the classes offered. Also, there are a lot of classes and panels (and people) that are better geared towards different levels of your career, so whether you are just starting out or if you are a pro, there is abundant and relevant information that you can pick up by attending. Then, there is the friends I've made and just the energy of the people that makes it worth attending year after year.

Depending on where you are at in your career, some of the workshop classes may not really help (they do help a lot of people, don't get me wrong!!) - but hanging out with my friends, peers and meeting new people is what it's about for me. Putting faces with avatars, you know? The little pieces of advice from panel members are worth the plane ride too. See you there!cb

The information, the networking, the people (well, most of them LOL), and I feel like it's a fantastic investment in my music business education & career.
