just thought I would mention !

Stevie Lange is going to be doing a drivers ed class and mentoring this year at the rally, I met Stevie a few months ago when I had a small problem with my vocals (thought I had nodules, but didnt !) I booked a session with her and she sorted me out straight away, she's a flippin genius !!Stevie is Mutt Langes ex wife and has been in the business all her life first as a singer then a vocal producer/coach, all the majors use her for any vocal troubleshooting with any of thier top line artists, and she has worked with many major global artists, just recently done a tour with Pharrel WilliamsStevie is massively experienced, she has some great stories to tell, and she's loads of fun too, check her out on www.stevielange.com and if you get chance take in one of her classes at the rally, she's well worth a shot !and no I'm not her agent !! just a massive fan !jensen

I totally agree with Jensen, I've had some vocal lessons with Stevie and she is AMAZING! She got me hitting notes I never thought I could, and she is such a lovely lady too. If you get a chance to work with her, do it!Kellywww.myspace.com/kellyleemusic

Great to hear the heads up. Thanks, you guys. I've been TRYING to narrow down the choices of who to talk to and who to grovel in front of... This helps.Ted

Hey, is it ok to take one of her classes if you consider singing to be your weakest point in your recordings, rather than if you are a lead singer? I used to sing, and still have good pitch etc, but don't sound "good" from the 20 years of not doing any singing really. Do you think I should take a class?

Not even knowing anything about this woman, I'd have to say YES. Seems to me any way to get better/ tools to get better/advice on how to make the most of the instrument you have is a good thing.(you KNOW we'll gab about this at length at the airport/on the plane to LA... )Ted

Stevie specialises in vocal problems of any kind, shes an expert on phrasing, can turn your vocals into just the right vibe for the song whether it be rock, country, r&b whatever !she can always find an extention to your range, I was wanting to strengthen my vocal endurance when having to sing for more than three nights on the trot, she fixed that for me ! she did the same for Pharrel Williams I think !she also has this amazing survival kit for singers to take on tour !anyway you should just check out her website, it can tell you more than I can ! oh and while you are there, check out her music section too, boy can this woman sing !jensen

Great - thanks. I've, once again, always done backups and harmonies but never the lead. Big difference and I think a class would benefit me. Man, she is incredible - checked out her rock album. Wow!

I can vouch for Stevie too, everytime !Anne dont know which of the tracks you listened to on her site, but you should check out the live version of the old Etta James song "I just wanna make love to you" think its the last one on the list, wow goose bumps or what, and the duet she did with Bryan Adams "Prove it" is also amazing.but teaching and all aside at which she's the bomb, she's also just a great bundle of fun and her classes reflect that.Erika
