OK!!! I've got the midi drum tracks off to the kelster and darn stoked I must add. TODAY was an awesome day in me studio, I was able to start tracking with my new Mesa/Boogie 50 Caliber Plus! Anyone who knows Hard Rock/Metal knows the punch this baby packs. Old and new Metallica, any modern metal band all the way to *ich* Nickelback are using Mesa's stuff. Anywho I was beside myself when I found this head for the paulty price of $450 USD!!! I have a Marshall JCM 2000 50W and a Marshall 1960A 4x12 cab with 75Wers and this cab is the perscribed cab if you don't have a custom Mesa speaker filled cab. I've been jamming the head since I got it but only today have I been able to get back to tracking SO the dialing has started... As promised RLD I have pulled those muddy rhythm tracks and have taken my first shot at the new rhythm tracks with the Mesa head. I'm pretty happy with what I've got so far but still dialin' her in. The high register tracks are still the same as before so I did a "end of session" quick mix and master to share with boys (the high lead stuff is a bit loud me thinks however...). It sounds cool but pretty different now becos I think when transfering midi from diff programs, the placement of certain parts ie. kick snare crash... are all interpreted differently in terms of velocity & placements...Let me know how it goes ya?? I hope it works out...

Right. I got the drum tracks from Kel and they undoubtably kick backside! I think he put some special sause cause DANG are they tasty... HOWEVER the midi file transfer left some pretty noticable changes that renders them unusable without further inquiry HOWEVER I did use they're taste and flavor as a reference to tweak the drums that have been used from origin HENCE the following cut for your entertainment perusal...www.williamthomasanderson.com/w2/nb_song_1_5.mp3 I'm also getting the overall instrumental mix (will be doing a vocal cut as well) in order so comments on all aspects of the production are welcomed, saught, begged, pleaded, trading right arm...

hey WTA... I think U should use my snare sounds... I'l send U only the snares later... I am almost 100% sure it'll bring make this already hot track hotter... Lemme know if U wanna, then I'l send only the snares...The drums in this mix sounds too buried to my ears... especially the snares...K

Do you have the option of sending the wav sample of the snare? I'll take the snare track and would LOVE to try it out. I had the kick pretty hot and pulled it back but I've got LOTs of room to push em up...
