Like the sound - I agree about the George Harrison reference, nice catchy hook for the chorus. Memorable song.Shawn

hi mark--the mix to my ears is just a bit muddy--i can hear the vocals, but would like more clarity to some of the lyrics (is this doubled?), and the backing guitars may be what is muddy,or maybe the cymbals a bit hot?i'm hearing allot of static in the solo, and thus throughout as well. i'd work on the mix.i hear harrison somewhat, but more in the lyriic than the vocal, which is you or someone not really harrison sounding based on just voice only. beatles influence for sure though...but do NOT get me wrong. i LIKE this tune, i think it may just be the mix, or maybe my ears tonight?all the best, warren

HiVery Beatles/Harrison/Lennon... As a 60's/Beatles influenced guy, really enjoying. If you can, post lyrics for reviews. You can get even more feedback that way.The mix sounds a little muddy and tinny to me but my PC audio has some issues which I'm looking into. If others hear it that way, there's something to it.The best target for a track like this is as a 60's replacement track for film/TV. There is often a call for something authentic retro to fill a scene set in another era, for example. If you get the mix cleaned up, keep an eye out for listings like this as well as outside opportunities for retro music. Retro works well if the sound is fairly authentic to the time period. Good luck!! Casey

Nice work, Mark. I'm hearing some unwanted distortion too. Thought it might have been the cymbals, but now I'm not sure. Maybe the guitar track on the right?Vince

Hi Mark.. welcome to the forums! Nice tune and vibe! I'm hearing the distortion also.. could you be hitting a limiter or compressor on the master buss a bit hard? I like the up-front whispery doubled-vocal you got going on in there. I'd like to hear the kick in in the chorus more and I think it may just be a matter of tweaking the mix. PS ... Saw you're playing in Jesus and Mary Chain!! That's awesome!!
