Photographs
Here's a song I wrote a while back. Just wanted other comments on it. I'm playing the piano and it's not my major instrument mind you

Re: Photographs
Forgive me I forgot to post the lyricsPhotographsI see the pictures that we have madeThat show snippets of our history.Wonderful colours, picture perfect memoriesAnd that’s just what they are hanging on my wall.I saw you smiling And you looked so beautiful,I remember that day oh so clear. We were just hanging Enjoying each other’s companyBut that was yesterday Hanging on my wall.Bridge:A picture can paint a thousand liesBut I know what we have is trueSo let’s take the pictures off the wallAs we take new photographsAlive and real each day.I see the pictures that we made yesterdayAnd they can’t be printed in the photo house. These are the pictures that no one will ever seeThat keeps our hearts together Every day in love.Words and music by Stephen John Jnr.Copyright 2008

Re: Photographs
Stephen, Wow, you do have a great voice. And your piano a very good, nothing to apologize for. I like the story of the song. It's a little vague at times, but generally vague is acceptable because more people can relate to it.I kind of wish your bridge sped up...more rythmic maybe. Something with more movement.Overall I really liked this. I think it's close to being a commerical pop/r&b song.Andy

Re: Photographs
Thanks Guys for the comments thus far. It's still a work in progress in terms of the final sound, so there's room for a little cut and tuck here and there. Thanks Andy for you valuing my piano playing. I personally think there's still a long way to go.

Oh yes Dave that's where it came from. I wrote it in about 45 mins. one morning. One of those times when everything just flows.

Re: Photographs
Beautiful. You have really good voice and I like the song. There's bound to be some Stevie Wonder comparisons. It could easily be steered towards an 'a la Stevie Wonder' listing.

I really love and admire Stevie Wonder, don't think I sound like him though but his songwriting is so colorful and heartfelt it's amazing. I try to emulate that kind of singing and songwriting.
