Buddha Bar series forward!!!

Post by 10westmusic » Wed Mar 26, 2008 9:30 am

Hey everyone,So there was a Dispatch listing the other day for series of “Buddha Bar” type compilation CD’s in which they would like to feature 10 Taxi artists/writers. World music like this is one of my main genres, so I submitted a track called “Dream of the Gobi”. It features Mongolian vocals which I had translated, and the text is an ancient and well known Mongolian poem. Anyway, it was forwarded, so I’ll post the link below. I’m really looking forward to hearing some of the other tracks that folks sent! I love this type of music, so I can’t wait to listen! This sounds like a really cool opportunity, Let’s hope a bunch of us get the calls on this one! Here's the song:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... ards,Chuck

Congrats Chuck!! Your track sounds just perfect for the Buddha Bar listing -- excellent ambient vibe with some great tension from the top-notch vocals. May your email box soon show you further success ---

Hi Chuck - what a great track. I was wishing I'd had more time to work on this listing; I'd just started a pretty good track in this genre. Where did you find the singer? What an excellent track; kudos.

Hi Chuck,Congrats on the forward!! That's a great track you've got-- this is such a great genre of music... Well done, especially nice vocals too! I hope you get some calls on this one. A CD featuring 10 TAXI members? That's a cool idea! Good luck to you!! Raags
