forum loser...( me )....vikki challange

Post by feaker » Tue Dec 02, 2008 9:54 am

I accepted miss vikki's challange to write a new song from scratch starting last Saturday.Had some suggestions for verb and volume. Implemented them. The reference in the song to "cj" is not our guy in our forum. For the record, I have only submitted one song so far "gassy Rudolph", so you know this is all a spoof. So, here is my two day project "forum loser"I keep trying I can never winAll my songs coming back againYou must be wrongAbout my songI keep thinking maybe it’s my timeA melody with a perfect rhymeYou hated itI feel like sh…….crapI’m a loser (twice)Friends on the forum thought that it kicked assI’ll get over it, time will passI’ll start anewWith help from youThis time I’ll make it you can bet the farmEven cj could not do it harmI bet he'll tryI’ll wipe my eyehttp://www.taxi.com/feaker

Holy cow, I expected to take a beating. This was a tough challenge. Two days isn't much time when you start with a blank slate. In the song "If" by bread there is a strange chord when they say "the words could never show". Always wanted to use it so I strumed it and started building around it. Goes back to "A" from there etc.Started with sappy lyrics and the song was starting to get very dull. Funny lyrics come quickly.Dave Love the new avatar. rudy is getting a makeover and will show soon.AnneI have never felt like a loser. The lyrics just went that way.cjI am so glad you had a chuckle after that reference. Critical is welcomed here big time especially when coupled with a sense of humor.beep beepYou are by far the best cheerleader here. Always there for all of us. You also know your stuff bud. Only got a couple more weeks in taxi. I have never used any on the services (submitting songs, rally etc)warrenThe guitar in the intro is a line 6 setting called "swell". It is very difficult to use. It gets out of control very fast. There is a hiss associated with it and i bet it could be EQ'd out. Don't know how.Yes, I thought of you when I wrote the lyrics. Gotta scoot, will comment on your song later.KitzI used only a metrodome as drums unfortunately. Didn't think the song had any redeeming qualities and was only thinking "quicky"I can't believe you picked up on the lack of reverb on the harmony. I got lazy there.Glad you smiled. That was my intention. Don't know John anderson?IBY Surprises don't come often for this ole guy. Yawl made my morning. I am off to phy thearapy for a frozen shoulder of all things. My arm will not lift high enough to play my acoustic, but i can still slide the electric in there. I guess it can be repaired.thanks you very muchsincerelyPaul

Hey Paul....This is very cool.... loser's have zero talent.... you obviously have a lot so 'nough said there...I've renamed my "submission history" page "The Money Pit".....BTW you can make subs (Rudy) before your membership is up and get the results after....I just got my 7 year old niece a guitar... I'm planning on "Gossip Hound" being her first big single ...Peace, Geo

Hey Paul,I read the lyrics, but somehow missed the link at the bottom.Just saw Bill's post and took another look.Yeah, this is good Jon Paul.Nice guitar sound.Had a listen to Gassy Rudolph while I was there.Ha! no wonder the kids like it. Yeah, it's got universal appeal!Flatulence sounds the same in any language!!

I'm with Ibanez, and some others; that's one danged fine melody, hoss! The current lyric is hilarious, but a rewrite would have commercial potential. Still need a bridge, though...
