Mer,I just realized that Spicatto is where you bounce the bow off the string and yes, it's used in classical music a lot when the strings are providing a rhythmic pulse. Thanks!Mazz

Great stuff, thanks. I have been struggling a bit with the articulations, because I've got a limited set. I don't have spicatto, only staccato with this product. I'll go back and read the thread you mention. In the meantime, I tweaked some more. Am I any closer?http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... 3&stream=1

Hey I can hear a big difference in the strings, they are way improved! I like how there's a slight volume swell in :40 to :47, and I can imagine the players now, doing this. The only string part that now sticks out for my ears is the high repeated note at around :57 to :102, right before the guitar part comes in. I'm not sure it is strings, actually, but whatever it is sounds odd to me, maybe someone else will have feedback on why that might be. Thanks for sharing this, because it is very interesting to me to hear the difference from before and after, and good luck with it! --Mer

Thanks for the feedback! Actually, the high strings before the speed metal break are doubled by the flute which is probably why it's so shrill. Maybe I'll re-arrange to put the winds up there, and give the strings a lower note in the structure - might be more believable. Thanks again, I'll keep plugging away!
