imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

I love this arrangement, very very creative in it's simple way. I did not like 100% the sound on the leads but everything else is wonderful.

FYI: I chose the leads (chorus and solo section) to sound like toys, in fact, I used an old Yamaha (1980s vintage) toy keyboard (no MIDI!!) to play them. Hopefully the cheeseyness will charm the screeners and not turn them off!! Even the drum loops were sampled from a Casio VL-1, pretty much as cheesy as it gets! I have a large collection of current, great sounding samples but this listing/arrangement cried out for the tinny toys!Take care,Mazz

I listened to this yesterday Mazz. Really nice- It shows how a great melody transcends genres/interpretations. A kazoo would have been a nice touch. There's not enough kazoo in music these days. There never really was.Wade windowman

Years ago, I had a contract with an older, eccentric gentleman to produce a children's album. He showed up to teach me the songs & he pulled out one of those $2.00 plastic kazoos. Quite funny, I had to force myself to think about the $$$$ to stop from laughing. That wasn't all- I had to talk him into changing one of the lines...'Watch out Mr. Bunny or the hunter will kill you."I personally liked that line, but I thought it could be an issue with some children. He would sleep while we recorded, he was very old. We thought he had died a few times. No worries though, he always paid up front. Just a matter of disposing of the body. (Now there's a children's song!)Wade

Quote:you got any of those songs so we can hear the result? and maybe also what he played for you?Hi Steini- If that question was directed at me, then no on both counts. The studio owner has the master DAT but he's been in the process of rebuilding his studio. I'll get a digital copy eventually but the other problem is that they're not my songs to share. Maybe I could do a temporary upload here?!?!? The 'kazoo sessions' are long lost. I only used them as reference.Wade
