Hi Mazz,I can't believe that you didn't get forwarded. When I got my "returned" on this listing the first thing I thought of was," the bar was high on this one and tunes like Mazz's were so much more on target." Still love your tune... I'm sure you'll find a home for it...Bob

I was returned on this one as well. I thought sure if I was returned, Mazz would be forwarded. That at least has been our history. As I've found in the past, a return certainly does not mean a track doesn't find a home.Chuck

Quote:Well, I guess you never can tell:Returned for this one. Yes/No only, no critique.I'll keep it in the active file for future submittage!Onward and upward!! MazzI'm stunned. My first thought is "if something of this quality that's perfect for the listing as far as I can see doesn't get forwarded, what chance will I ever have?"

I feel good about the piece. Obviously the screeners have more inside info on the listing. I don't think I wasted time writing it, I'm proud to have it in my catalog. In the meantime, back to writing! That's the best therapy for "return recovery"!! Mazz

Hey Guys,I'm glad I finally went through this thread. You have no reason to second guess your skills on this one. These were very strong songs that hit the nail on the head as far as I'm concerned. I especially dug Mazz's composition. You just never know who submitted to this listing. Remember there are some heavy duty cats out there that are TAXI members and they will pounce on a listing like this one. You just never know. Also, they (clients) may have been looking for something so specific in their minds that if you didn't quite get there for them, then it didn't matter how strong the material was otherwise. One last thing, if you feel that you were dead on and want to get a little more feedback on this one, you should maybe give a shout out to the screeners on the screener sub-forum.I commend you all on your work and don't worry these tunes will find a place sooner or later.Best regards,Cisco

Does the client provide the "yes/no"? Somehow I thought the "yes/no" was coming from the Taxi screeners, not the client. I'm new to this whole process, so I'm just asking so that I can understand the process better.

Some listings are actually screened by the clients because they want to, most are screened by Taxi screeners. I don't know the ratio.Quote:Quote:Also, they (clients) may have been looking for something so specific in their minds that if you didn't quite get there for them, then it didn't matter how strong the material was otherwise.Just a question on this comment. The listing will tell you if a client is doing the screening.Best,Cisco
