Song with no name needs a name and feedback

Post by anne » Thu Aug 09, 2007 4:57 am

I put this together after looking at the top 10 songs from 1963-1968. This one is "a la" the 1960s instrumentals that charted (Green Onions, and several Tijuana Brass Band songs) in that there is bass, drum, organ, guitar, and a little horn part and its all instrumental. I was wondering if you'd mind giving it a listen and letting me know what you think. Thanks in Advance http://www.taxi.com/kurlyqueenThe song is labled "63-68 Instrumental keys guitar horns" for now and is at the top of the list of songs.

Hi Anne, I am listening to your song "63-68..." as I am typing. I really like it and I normally do not like instrumentals. I just love the electric piano, after thinking about it for a bit it hit me.. that song would have been perfect on that movie "Napolean Dynomite" and I loved the music on that movie. It was fun and odd at the same time with the way they played it out. It's mainly the piano parts that feel that way. Take it in a good way too. It is meant that way!Rob

Thanks Rob - I have actually never seen the movie, believe it or not. I saw only one part of it - somebody riding a bike over a jump that collapses and he gets hit in the nuts pretty hard. It looks like a funny movie to watch and now, after your comment, I'll need to take a look at it -Anne

I listened to that again and again... I really love it, it is such a fun set of tracks. Nice changes, man this song is growing on me!! Ya know, when I first listened to this I didn't really get a full realization of the amount of talent here although I liked it from the gate. Very nice.If ya do get to see the movie I mentioned you'll see what I see too. (the movie itself isn't a great movie, sorta stupid and a bit boring at times.)

Thanks for the kind and encouraging words. I'm going to rework the guitar solo (first 1/2) and add some more little riffs as a 2nd guitar would play. And I'm renting the movie today!Sounds like a good way to zone out and relax...

Ok Anne, I listened more to your song and thought of "Jive Sauce" I hope it isn't too out there in cliche-ville but the other stuff I thought of just wasn't worth mentioning. hehe
