Light Activity!

Post by stick » Fri Jan 18, 2008 1:17 pm

Evidently my track was Lightly Active. The listing: S071228INThe Owner of a Music Production Library is currently seeking a wide variety CORPORATE/ BUSINESS INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals) across ALL GENRES for use in film/TV/commercials, etc. This style is also known as "Light Activity" instrumentals: positive-sounding tracks that evoke intensity, productivity, victory, and pride. Prominent melodies are not required and all tempos are OK. This production music veteran signed many TAXI writers to his previous company, and wants to repeat that same type of success with this venture as well. He needs tracks with button endings - no fade-outs. This company offers a standard exclusive deal. Great performances are essential. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. For ground submissions, please enclose a S.A.S.E. if you would like a response. Submissions must be received no later than Dec. 28, 2007. TAXI # S071228IN

Great work! I got a forward on this one as well. Somewhat hard to be light with one's musical activity. You nailed this one. This, in my opinion is perfect for the particular pitch. Really enjoyed it.

Way to go, Stick! Nice feel, with a little creative tasty twist... I suppose you probably plunked that out one afternoon too, eh? I'm putting bets down that they pick that one up. Raags

Well, it was part of an afternoon at least. I did some themes like this for a business show for public television or something a LONG time ago that I still get BMI royalties for. I dig the Light Activity. HA HA!

Way to go, stick-man! Hope you get a contact to make some cake on this tasty track.(BTW, not that it matters much, but the titles to your tunes are coming up funny in my iTunes (v7.5). I checked this one and the funk listing the other day, and instead of a title it comes up with html-mumbo-jumbo: "1 - - - [ - 01:31 / 1.4Mb ] <font color="red"><b>New</b></font>". Probably never matters to Taxi reviewers, but wanted to let you know as a fellow Mac-Man.)vicky-- I feel your pain. I too was rebuffed by the gods of review on this listing. Onwards and upwards.

Ah, that probably because I just export the mp3 files out of ProTools or Logic without adding the tags... I'll try and remember to do that from now on. Thanks...
