Songwriter,There are some very nice elements in your world fusion piece, The ethnic flute sound is beautiful. (Is this from RA?) I think the first two sections could benefit from a little more space between the melodic phrases. By the end of those sections I'm "out of breath".A technique I use quite often is to state the melody in the first A section. On the second A section I'll add another "character" to the play. With the flute stating the melody, an ethnic string instrument like a Kora would work well. Without some space in the flute melody there is no room for a conversation to take place.The transition to the ensemble section seems a little abrupt. There is probably a way to begin to introduce some of the instruments you add to this section a little earlier in the piece.I like what you are doing moving in this direction. There are quite a few listings that pop up that this type of piece fits well. The most obvious are the New Age but there was a Dispatch Listing last year for a credit card commercial that requesting some ethnic elements. The fusion of these world elements with other styles could take one in all kinds of directions.Chuck P.S.
