Re: I'm so sad.
Thanks for all the kind words guys and gals. DJ: Yeah the Cello is a plug in a "Virtual Instrument", it works on the NI Kontakt 2 format (it comes with the K2 Player, so as long as you have a DAW which can use plug-ins and a decent computer, you can use it...in other words you do not need to have Kontakt 2). But just check out stick's link and you'll get the picture. The Violin is great too btw. One interesting tidbit is that the technology for it was invented by a prominent Italian cardiologist with a love for music...in his spare time. Stick, I'm surprised you hadn't heard of it yet, and glad I could turn you onto it. A guy like you could do some real "damage" with that thing...

Yeah, I know... I'm surprised I hadn't seen it either. Then again, I haven't really looked for new samples and stuff for awhile. Guess it's about time.

Re: I'm so sad.
Congrats to everyone on the forwards!!!Can't stream TAXI music here at day gig but I will put a plug in for the Garritan instruments, both the Stradivarius Violin and Gofriller Cello. They're pretty darn expressive out of the box but I know matto's put in some woodshed time on getting them to sing. They do need reverb, they're pretty much bone dry but just being able to play a legato phrase without the sound of a sample continually re-triggering is a huge step forward.I've been adding them as secret sauce as section leaders mixed back a bit. The natural slides and great legato really add a nice touch of realism to string section samples which normally can be problematic to make non-synthy. The vibrato is very expressive and doesn't sound as synthy as a plain old LFO.I'll listen later at home, looking forward to hearing the sad tunes Mazz

Re: I'm so sad.
Yours are great Brian. As I expected they would be. And Matto posting your tunes, Whoa! Thank you. Vikki yours, is really interesting and different. And also sad! It's so enlightening to hear what everyone else is doing, that's working to get forwarded. and Ye-haw, I got a couple of forwards, too. Minus remixes of tunes I've co-written. What a great way to start the year. I'm in such awesome company! Life is good. This first piece got all 10'a, except a 9 for marketability. wow... alaParisMaurice What's the Point
