Success - Nearly...Well, Maybe...

Post by stuartleggat1 » Tue Oct 17, 2006 12:58 am

Hi All,Just had my first wee bit of success from The Boys Who Know Best (Taxi)...lolUnfortunately, not one of my masterpieces, but my daughter`s interpretation of the Beyonce r`n`b number; "Work It Out", that was chosen to be forwarded to a company who put out songs that have been big hits, but with an unknown singer...surprisingly; it seems there`s a big market for re-selling cover songs and the deal offered to the unknown vocalist is pretty good, have to say.If any of you need a world-class r`n`b/soul female vocalist for any of your projects, get in touch and I`ll let you hear her versions of some of the classics which I`m sure you`ll be impressed with. The producer of the movie I`m involved with wants her to do some of the soundtrack so she does have a voice that may well help get you that elusive placement (strictly no refunds if she doesn`t...lol - only kiddin`)Best wishes to all,Stu

You know, if we knew each other a lot better I'd give you a good, friendly tweaking about the irony of the situation. What a difference a week makes. In the end, at least from Taxi's stats, only 11% of submissions get forwarded on average. To me it doesn't say anything negative about any songs that were returned (along with the other 89% of the members) but it does say a lot about any song that does get forwarded. You and your daughter should be very proud and feeling pretty good right about now. Very cool,Dave

Very good Stuart!
