ELECTRONICA SONGS

Post by tinozigzag » Fri Feb 20, 2009 5:01 am

New Listing ELECTRONICA SONGS ranging from Dance/House to Chillout/Ambient a la Daft Punk, Air, Chemical Brothers, Thievery Corporation, etc., sought by President of successful Music Library/Publishing Company with extensive film and TV Placements (Kill Bill 2, the Punisher, Las Vegas, the Shield, Bones, One Tree Hill, Van Wilder 2 + many more). Broadcast quality needed - great sounding home demos are fine but must sound excellent Ð he is very picky about this. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Thursday, March 26, 2009. TAXI #S090326ELI am thinking of submiting to this listing, but before I waste any more money I thoght of having same advice!!If you can help.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=true

I really like this track although I think it could be too experimental for the listing. The common thread amongst the artists listed is a fat, laid back bass line and chilled low pitched breakbeat, along with some atmospheric pads. Throw a rhodes sound in (with reverb) and Bingo! The listing party will think they've struck gold, probably. My opinion is based on many of my electronica fowards (with the same artists listed) The tracks that have been returned were too quirky and original...like yours.BUT...you never know, you might get lucky.all the best,Louis

Very interesting track, but I agree with the others that it really does not meet up to ala's listed. The other thing is that it appears that the client wants a high bar so I think you would need to nail this one on the bullseye.Best,Cisko

im wondering something ...it seems like for this listing, the company would want moreinstrumentals than songs with vocals up front.(due to the artistslisted ((Daft Punk, Air, Chemical Brothers, Thievery Corporation))what do you think, friends? i really want to submit my best for thisdo you think instrumentals are their actual priority? hmm

hey Silvercord.. I am very interested in this one too and I have sent 2 tracks already... both tracks have like minimal words in them, one even has only 2 lines...I think instrumentals would be fine for this cos... all the examples listed above mostly do instrumental stuff and even those songs with lyrics by Chemical Bros for example have kinda one liners... eg> "It all began in Africa ca ca ca ca... ...!"Instrumentals should be fine I believe, I am abt 90% sure of that... IMO-K
