Hymn arrangement forwards!
Just got the happy notification emails on a couple of "modern" hymn arrangements. O For A Thousand TonguesWhen I SurveyHere's the listing:Fresh, contemporary, current-sounding ORIGINAL COVER VERSIONS (with vocals) of the following Traditional/Public Domain SPIRITUAL HYMNS/SONGS (see the list below) are needed by the Dir. of Worship Music at an online Music Library/Publisher. He's open to ALL CURRENT MUSICAL STYLES except Heavy Metal/Hard Rock. Great performances are essential, especially vocally (male or female are fine). Your songs must have musical accompaniment -- he can't use a cappella versions. This company's offer: It's a buy-out/work-for-hire deal where they pay about $1000 up-front per song, then they retain the publishing rights and you keep your writer's share (for performance royalties). VERY IMPORTANT: You must use ProTools LE software to record your songs, as that's the format they need the songs to be delivered in (per their instructions). If you don't use ProTools LE, please do not submit to this listing. This company ran these listings via Dispatch in Sept., so if you were forwarded for any of those listings, there's no need to submit the same material here. Broadcast quality needed [great sounding home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY -- NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. For ground submissions, please enclose a S.A.S.E. if you would like a response. Here are the songs they need: 8. "OH, FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING" -- Submissions must be received no later than Nov. 6, 2007.TAXI # Y071106TT10. "WHEN I SURVEY THE WONDROUS CROSS" -- Submissions must be received no later than Nov. 6, 2007.TAXI # Y071106WC

Oh doesn't this paint a picture... you're getting forwarded for hymns at the same time I'm getting forwarded for porno music. I can feel the flames of hell licking at my heels.

Thanks squid... yeah, I'm pretty sure we're gonna use the Thousand Tongues one... Survey might make a better "special music" kind of thing as it's a little dark and slow for congregational worship, but you never know.
