Ignorance is not bliss...

Question regarding this listing:New Listing The Dir. of A&R at a Major Nashville Label needs great MALE NEO-TRADITIONAL COUNTRY SONGS for a new artist who is a cross between Ricky Skaggs, Delbert McClinton, and Alan Jackson. Songs that showcase the dobro are most welcome. Great visual lyrics are a must. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD/cassette, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Feb. 29, 2008. TAXI # S080229COWhat the heck is "dobro"?
Most people miss opportunity because it shows up wearing overalls and looks like work. - Henry Ford

Jerry Douglas is pretty much the King of Dobro players. It's a kind of guitar, either wood or steel, and most often played with a slide. They have unmistakable centre pieces called, resonators, that look like a hubcap.Quote:Question regarding this listing:New Listing The Dir. of A&R at a Major Nashville Label needs great MALE NEO-TRADITIONAL COUNTRY SONGS for a new artist who is a cross between Ricky Skaggs, Delbert McClinton, and Alan Jackson.
