Latin/Salsa Songs - Project Background

Post by jonathanm » Tue Apr 08, 2008 6:57 am

Just saw this come across the email:LATIN/SALSA SONGS (male and female vocals) a la Tito Puentes or Tito Rodriguez are urgently needed by a HUGE Music Supervisor for a film about a Puerto Rican/American family living in the Humboldt Park section of Chicago. For this spot, there is a $6K (all in) licensing fee attached. In these scenes, the family is joyously hanging out and dancing at home together, so the tone should be upbeat and happy. The lyrics should reflect the same kind of mood - togetherness, party, happiness, fun, family, etc. Authentic arrangements and instrumentation are a MUST for this listing. Broadcast quality is definitely needed and lyrics should have no profanity or uncleared samples. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics with English translation. As always, you'll be notified by e-mail whether your submissions have been Forwarded or Returned. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Noon PST on Thursday, April 10, 2008.Here's a bit of background on the project from IMDB and a local Chicago paper:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1151915/htt ... debut/Good luck!Jonathan
