The ONOFFON SSP of the Day is a feature we received back in 1999 from Stompinground.com - which could be Stompin' ground, or Stomping round... either way, it was another cool feature for ONOFFON -Stompinground.comFeatured Artist - ONOFFON"Von,How about this, visit www.stompinground.com and look at the Featured Artists list on the main screen, ONOFFON is now on the top of the list. Sorry this took so long, I guess that's what I get trying to run the "Stompinground.com one man show!"Also, I have sent out a message to our A&R feature notification list of industry professionals letting them know that ONOFFON is a featured artist on Stompinground.com and to be sure and check you out."Ryan Poore-----------------------------Indie Music Promotion:http://www.stompinground.com----------- ... -------Our thanks to Ryan for giving us a little added press to our collection of internet features...

ONOFFON's SSP of the Day is a return to a site who requested we enter their Battle of the Bands - The Musician's Cyber Cooler. My introduction to them was a request for an interview by Jammin' Dave himself.Subject: Fancy a bit of free publicity? I'd love to publish some of your experience in our newsletterDate: Tue, 21 May 2002 19:18:27 -0400From: "Indie Band Aid" To: ONOFFON <onoffon@onoffon.com>"My name is Dave Jackson. I am the moderator of the Musician's Cyber Cooler. We have 300+ members. When I was surfing I found your site. I also saw where you have your CD listed, um, everywhere. I'd love to "interview" you and get your opinions on selling CD's on line (with a nice plug to your web site). The next issue goes out on Monday 5/27. Let me know. Maybe we can set up a time to IM each other (or ICQ). If you are interested in looking at our latest issue go to http://www.jammindave.com/currentissue We'd love to have you sign up as well. Dave JacksonGuitiarist/Moderator"As a result of our association, Dave asked us to run in his Battle of the Bands in the Jazz category, where we are now four time champions... as always, thanks to Jammin' Dave...

Just as cool as an 'official' review in an ezine or music resource is a comment left by a casual listener on a BB... this ONOFFON SSP of the Day is from a listener on the newly opened Download.com BB. This is what he had to say about our song, "Mardi Gras" -Track reviewed: Mardi Gras"I dont mind instrumentals, at all, and never mind things like these. The whole track is so feelish, and so well comped. This is just awesome, listeners will have a hard time sitting or standing still to this composition. The sax is gorgeous, the notes it hits, and the melody structure is eclectic, coupled with solid acoustic accompaniment in the background, and the drums are flawless. All in all, total enjoyment for the listener, as it takes the listener through a great journey of different moods, and I found it very very enjoyable. Keep the good work up mate. Regardssaif"We appreciate Saif taking the time to listen and leave his thoughts in a public forum....

The ONOFFON SSP of the Day is from a Compilation CD we were a part of - in fact, this particular comp had an ONOFFON track and one of my father's originals, recorded by him back in 1954 - I wonder if the people who bought that CD even know of that link between us - either, it was an honor to have that distinction -Online Artist Network - OAN Jazz Vol. 2Ivor Humphrey"Hi Von, Your tracks "Weekend in Montreal" and "Baboling" will be featured on the OAN Jazz Vol. 2 compilation which is due to be released within the next 7 days. And as you will appreciate, this compilation will no doubt provide you with excellent promotional opportunities. Thanks for your permission. Ivor...Online Artist Network"I still have my copy! We thank Ivor for including our track and my father's track on this interesting musical rarity...

Today's ONOFFON SSP of the Day is Today's Editor's Pick over at Download.com's jazz page -Jazz - Download.com Musichttp://music.download.com/2001-7985_32-0.html?tag=dir"With flakes of funk bass and blues harmonica, ONOFFON forges solid jazz-rock. Be prepared for some smooth sax playing and Latin-tinged rhythms on the way."While I have previously posted this - this is the second time they've featured us - so... technically, it's a new feature... Thanks Download.com!

ONOFFON's SSP of the Day is audience participation - we've been hearing through the internet grapevine that a radio station in Annapolis, Maryland, has been playing our song, "Wet Legs". Now, this isn't the usual type of song that you hear from a jazz/rock band, which is probably why it's receiving airplay... Now, comes your part. If you have time, could you please click over to their station's website and drop them a little request for "Wet Legs" by ONOFFON? Or maybe three or four? You don't have to live in Maryland to do this, but it would be greatly appreciated if you did. Here's their homepage -WRNR103.1 Radio Annapolishttp://www.wrnr.com/home.htmlI don't know the DJ's name who has been playing it so just make a general request for airplay.I thank anyone who takes the time to do this...
