Development team credits
Hi Friends,I'm happy about this so I feel like sharing. I'm a sitar player from Indiana (that's India-nah! ) My genre is precious to a relatively small listening audience in this country so it is always a joy to receive any kind of recognition - however small - for what I do. I recently donated a month of my time tweaking the MIDI sequences offered by Swar Systems a software company that offers Indian music software and plug-ins. I am proud of the result and I am flattered to see my name in the list of development team members. Thanks for celebrating with me! Cheers,AllenPS: This is not a Taxi client so I'm not breaking any rules by naming the company.

Hi Allen!!I'm so proud of you!!! Congratulations on your Pro Development Team honors!!! Very very cool. PLUS, I see you are SECOND from the top of the list too, which must mean that you are super important and that they really LOVE you a great deal for all the hard work you did for them! Lucky they are!! (Actually, I think I only see two Westerners' names on that entire list too, and yours is one of them. So that's very cool. I can pronounce all except that last one...) This is all very cool, Al! All right... next time I see you, I'll have to bring you fresh cookies so we can celebrate this properly! Ragani

I love this kind of music! Udu drum and Sitar and so on! I have a jazz world symphonic duo and we are very influenced by the eastern music. I think your music is really great and you have a real talent, the only thing I miss is the dynamic sometimes. It sounds to me that each song is in one dimension/dynamic. But this is very personnel as well! My main inspiration now are Trilok Gurtu and Joe Zawinul. Sometimes if you use software instruments, these instruments lack the ability to express the dynamics.

Allen,This is excellent. All that hard work mastering your music is paying off. It's also a good reminder that gigging and writing aren't necessarily the only ways to make money in the music business. Way to turn your expertise in to dollars (and credits!).Congrats, you deserve it!!Mazz

Wow, look at all this! I thought I was going to have a slow day after that god-awful dental surgery this morning and now I see my friends are having a party for me today! Thanks everybody: you're the best! Yeah, unusual gigs have their unique benefits. I wasn't aware that picking up a new piece of software and working with it acually is a cool way to rethink your music. I had fun and the software company liked me (who knows Raags, maybe they even "LOVED" me a little too )! Orest's good comments made me remember something: whenever I revisit my older tunes I get a strong urge to do them all over because I know more today than I did yesterday. I owe that to all of the forum members who, over the course of just two short years, helped me get from "clueless" to "hey, I think I can do this". I still have a long way to go but the ride is soooooo much fun. Thanks Again,Allen
