UK Artist Development Group to Expand in US

In a recent move to expand operations in the US, We Are Listening has hired a New York based music attorney to liaise with label executives and music supervisors on behalf of up to five artists scheduled for a "shopping deal" this year. This initiative is the first exclusive signing of artists to the We Are Listening group, signaling a positive leap forward for new talent discovered through the company’s unsigned artist opportunities including The Singer/Songwriter Awards, Lyric Writer Awards and New Music Video Awards.Earlier this month, Boston-based Tami Machnai won Round 1 of The 2007 Singer/Songwriter Awards after receiving a majority vote from a judging panel consisting of prominent publishers, producers, songwriters, filmscorers and Berklee College of Music staff. Past winners have flown to London to record with We Are Listening’s production team, received noteworthy radio airtime and added their songs to television soundtracks on MTV and Oxygen.
