Mazz and Mrs. Mazz in Calabasas Sun. Night 3/29!

Post by mazz » Mon Mar 23, 2009 4:53 pm

Hi all,Jean and I will be playing her originals at Method Fest (a film festival) this Sunday night, 3/29, in Calabasas, CA which is near LA and is also the town that TAXI is based in (I don't know SoCal very well so excuse my ignorance of specifics!).http://www.methodfest.com/09pages/events.htmWe're playing for the Centerpiece Party and we go on about 11PM or so for probably 30 minutes or so. We'll be joined by drummer Victor Bissette who played on Jean's last album, Breathing Under Water (produced by Ronan Chris Murphy) and has also played with Los Lobos, among others.I don't know if you need tickets to the festival to get in the party and I haven't found out if there's a guest list but if you think you want to go, PM me and I'll see if I can get some passes or something. Here's Jean's website:www.jeanmazzei.comShould be fun, anyway!! Hope to see some LA folks!!Cheers!!Mazz

We probably won't be gigging but a barbecue on the deck might be a possibility!!Ted, I'll pass the word to Jean! If the gig has any memorable moments, I'll share them!Mazz

That's really cool! Good luck! (I listened to the songs on MySpace. I really like Jean's voice!)~ Lydia

Looks like the general public is welcome to attend the party. There's a $10 cover charge apparently to help with sound system rental, etc.Cheers!!Mazz
