NHCMA 2006 YOUTH FEMALE VOCALIST AND ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR, LAURA CORLIN of The Difference Music Makes, presents a Song Submission Call To Action for Tru Originals, compilation music CD The Internationally acclaimed children's hospital music program, The Difference Music Makes, in conjunction with The StarMight Foundation, a 501c-3 non-profit organization, is excited to announce the Tru Originals compilation CD! Volume IV in The Difference Music Makes Children's Hospital Benefit Music Series. Over $32,500 in music has been donated to young patients in children's hospitals from coast to coast. Index.html The Tru Originals CD will showcase original music from the best emerging and unsigned artists from around the world. Tru Originals will be distributed to young patients at children's hospitals across the United States and release to college radio stations, independent music stores and sold online, solely to raise money for The Difference Music Makes Community Service Project. NOT FOR PROFIT! Tru Originals will feature the work of 12-14 bands or artists performing an original song IN THEIR OWN GENRE. Interpretations of classics are also permitted if the song is in the public domain. If you can't clear it…don't plan on recording it. The contest will be run in three parts: First, submit your EPK, Band or headshot, performance resume and any other information that helps us define who you are.Second, The initial song submission/submissions do not have to be a finished, master recording…submit the best-recorded work you have on hand, now. Selected artists and bands will be asked to submit their studio quality recordings at a later date. Song Criteria: We are looking for songs that will appeals to older kids, 12 years and older. No children songs this time around. Songs shall not contain negative messages, swears, aggression or overly religious themes. We are looking for positive and uplifting themes only. All genres will be considered for this compilation.All bands and artists selected for Tru Originals will receive 10 copies at no cost. Additional copies (up to 50) will be available at wholesale cost. No Royalties will be paid for copies sold online as all monies made from the sale of this CD will be donated directly into The Difference Music Makes Community Service Program to Fund the music gift bag items that are donated to young patients at children's hospitals and to help fund medical research of life-threatening childhood diseases. Submissions are open to ALL GENRES, but we are accepting only English & Spanish language songs only. (international bands and artists are strongly encouraged to submit) Third, All submissions will receive a written, professional analysis even if not selected for the compilation. Selected bands and artists will receive additional required forms and instructions on studio format recording requirements and deadline dates for submission of final master recordings. Here's the BEST PART! There are NO ADDITIONAL COSTS! If selected, the band or artist will NOT pay any additional fees or "participation" costs. The only fee is the initial $15.00 screening/submission fee. What are you waiting for? We will be manufacturing 1,500+ CDs.
