Our song "When Sara Smiles" was forwarded recently for this listing:Jazz TAXI # D050531JVA wide range of JAZZ SONGS WITH VOCALS [no instrumentals] a la Billie Holiday, Cab Calloway, Norah Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Jr., etc. are needed by the Music Consultant/Supervisor for 2 brand new Cable TV sitcoms. He’s supplying a “library” of music to the shows’ producers for them to select from when a placement is needed. So they need material that is very, very easy to license with no hassles. He’s looking for “one-stop shopping,” so your material MUST be 100% owned by you and profanity-free. They are offering license fees between $500-$1000 per usage. Male or female vocals are OK. He’s looking for a good variety of material, so lyrical themes and content are not too important, but he wants really cool songs with great-sounding vocal/instrumental performances. Broadcast quality needed--Great sounding home recordings are just fine. (Meaning they will use your version - they will not re-record anything). Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. For ground submissions, please enclose a S.A.S.E. if you would like a response. As always, we will notify everyone via e-mail, whether your submissions have been Forwarded or Returned. Submissions must be received no later than 4:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time (California time), Tuesday, May 31, 2005. TAXI #D050531JVOur BroadJam page is:http://www.broadjam.com/bbmYou'll find "When Sara Smiles" on our Home Page or our Active Playlist page.
