Member Deals 1/1/09 – 1/31/09Skip-Dawg (Pennsylvania)-Skip-Dawg notified TAXI that his song “Skip To The Floor” was featured on the popular #1 Current Hit Radio Show with over 10 million listeners in Europe/Germany and L.A. as a result of a forward through TAXI.He also reports that he received 5 placements as a result of a forward to a very successful Online Music Licensing company through TAXI over a year ago. They include: His song “Everybody Gather Round” was used in a Facebook application for a well known global advertising agency, a song placed in The Big Reunion (Hip-Hop DJ DVD documentary), a song licensed with an e-Card website, and two songs used by two major corporations.AND, his song “Times In My Life” was also signed with a Music Publisher with tons of Film/TV placements as a result of a forward through TAXI.Anna Maria Flechero (California)-Anna Maria recently reported that as a result of her very first submission through TAXI, she landed a deal with an Independent Record Label with Major Distribution ties. Her two Jazz standards, and one Jazz original have been included on a Smooth Jazz compilation CD being released by this Indie Label and distributed by Universal Music in Poland.“This was my first time I submitted to TAXI after many many years of receiving your mail and emails. Thank you so much. Your critiques have given me insight and motivation.”Amanda Somerville (Michigan)-Amanda recently reported that she was featured on one of the biggest commercial radio stations in Europe as a result of a forward through TAXI. The response from her song was so good the 1st time around that she was featured a 2nd time.Amanda Somerville (Michigan)-Amanda also reported signing a non-exclusive licensing deal with a very successful LA-based Music Publisher as a result of a forward through TAXI. AND, she signed a non-exclusive licensing deal with a well-established Production Music Library/Publisher as a result of a forward through TAXI.Devin Melanson (Canada)-Three weeks after a forward through TAXI, Devin made a connection with a very successful Production Music Library. Devin, and his co-writer, Marc Blackwell (TAXI member & TAXI forum participant), had their uptempo Sports Rock song “One Minute Penalty” signed.Logan Pepper (Texas)-As a result of a forward through a TAXI Dispatch listing, Logan signed his first ever deal for one of his Instrumental tracks. Logan signed the contract a month after he was forwarded through TAXI.“I signed the contract at the end of November - it was a wonderful early Christmas present! Thanks so much to Michael and clan for everything you do for us musicians! This would not be possible without you.”B. Flat (New Jersey)-Keith recently reported that his Rock Instrumental “First One To Win” was signed to a Production Music Library as a result of a forward through a TAXI Dispatch listing.Jarno Huhtanen (Finland)-As a result of a forward through TAXI 8 months prior, Jarno’s Orchestral/Action Instrumental “Ruthless Assault” landed him an exclusive deal with a U.K.-based Music Library/Publishing company who focuses on TV placements.Gus Caveda (Florida)-Gus recently reported that two of the Rock songs he submitted through a TAXI listing were signed by a very successful Production Music Library who has secured placements with ABC, CBS, NBC, WB, Disney, Discovery, Lifetime, Fox, USA (just to name a few).Allen DeSomer (Indiana)-Allen recently reported that he signed his first deal with a UK-based Production Music Library for Film/TV placement opportunities as a result of a forward through TAXI 6 months prior. He signed his “Mixed Raga - Sitar” song, and is now mixing alternative versions upon the company’s request.“I've been a member for a couple of years now, but I have a demanding, time-consuming day job so I have not been prolific with my music so far. I am happy to see that my scanty after-hours music efforts are finally paying off! I'll work harder on the music in 2009, that's for sure!”Tom Bradley & Dan Ferrari (New York)-It was recently reported that Dan has signed two non-exclusive deals with two Music Publishers/Libraries as a result of his music being forwarded through TAXI. Both Publishers licensed 5 songs from Dan’s new album, “Don’t Let It Fall.”Representing Dan, Tom writes: “Getting Dan's music into film and TV has been a priority for us and Taxi has been a big help in making this happen.”Martin Haene (Switzerland)-Martin and his co-writer Roberto Carrasco reports that their solo Piano Instrumental “True Love” was recently signed to a U.K.-based Music Library/Publishing Company for TV placements as a result of a forward through TAXI.Jean Custeau (Canada)-As a result of a forward through TAXI to a U.K.-based Music Publishing company, Jean had his classical inspired track “Sadness & Hope” signed.Sandra Amorosi (Australia)-As a result of her very first submission and forward through TAXI, Sandra signed her song “For You” to a U.K.-based Music Publishing company.Alfred Gruber (Washington)-Alfred recently reported that he signed his song “Trash Talkin” with a Music Supervisor who focuses on placing music on reality shows as a result of a forward through TAXI. The Music Supervisor is also interested in more music from Alfred.“I'm very grateful for and excited about this opportunity. A big thanks to the TAXI team for helping make this possible!”Judson Lee (Virginia)-Judson recently signed his Rock Instrumental “Yo-yo Madness” with a Music Supervisor who focuses on placing music on reality shows as a result of a forward through TAXI one month prior.Vicky Emerson (New York)-Vicky recently made a connection with a U.K.-based Music Publishing company where she had two of her solo piano Instrumentals signed as a result of a forward through TAXI.Jeff Greenleaf (California)-Jeff just signed his first deal (a multi-song contract!) as a result of one of his “80’s New Wave Instrumentals” being forwarded through TAXI to a Music Supervisor who focuses on placing music on reality shows. They requested more material from Jeff, and he signed a non-exclusive deal for an additional 10 Instrumentals in different styles such as: tension, adventure, extreme sports, heartwarming, fun/quirky, etc.“Thank You Taxi! Now I can take my music where it wants to go.”Bob Mete (Virginia)-Bob reports that his song “Raindrops & Moonbeams” was recently signed to a very successful Music Publisher as a result of a forward through TAXI.“Can't thank TAXI enough!”Sorry for the delay on these folks.
