Mark & Stuart,

Good guesses, but not the song! Actually, ALL the verses are "basically" one note!

Clue: The verse melody starts on the major third of the first chord.

Alright, the first 3 bars of the verse are one note, a major 3rd of the first chord. All are quarter notes. The last note of bar 3 goes up a minor 3rd.
