Thanks yall. I appreciate it. She has a triple threat going against her right now (not responding well to estrogen, the size, and that it is the most aggressive kind) but the doctors are still very optimistic. It just looks like she will need chemo and we were really hoping she wouldn't need any. I couldn't justify going across the country (and not to mention I was going to need her to help pay for it as an early Christmas present, and there is no way I want to ask under the circumstances!) and not being near her when she really needs me. Thanks for the support. This is such a great group of people!

I am so sorry to hear about your mother but I do understand that God can do anything but fail so you and your mom will be in my prays God bless keep your head up.

Desiree - My heart goes out to you and your mom. Being with her at this time is absolutely the right choice and one you'll never regret. Really, nothing else matters.

Thanks yall so much! This is such a great community. I'll keep everyone updated. I have to say it is getting harder closer to the Rally date- but- I just keep telling myself that I'll be even more prepared next year and that I know it means a LOT to my mom to be nearby (even though she doesn't even know about the Rally- otherwise she would insist on me going!). Everyone have LOT OF FUN for me and I want to hear lots of CRAZY stories when everyone gets back!!
