Soft Tube

Post by Dwayne Russell » Tue Sep 14, 2010 5:02 pm

Man......this is simply the best compressor and EQ plugs out there.

I have used the real gear for years and the soft tubes are EXACT emulations.

They blow Waves clear out of the water!

I have a lot of stuff on iLok. No issues at all.

I don't know if I would say they blow waves out of the water although they do sound amazing with some of the things they have done. A serious contender in the pro plugin market no doubt.

Waves are not identical to the original source they model. Softube is. Apparently when monitoring a sound from the original modeled component and the plugin the sound disappears when the phase is flipped. that's how exact they are!

The way the sample the source is WAY more extensive than Waves. You can read about it on their website. That is why they are better than waves. Of course, better in this case means more true to the plugin being modeled.
