Altiverb

I use Altiverb for my orchestra music now as well as for tons of other stuff. It is really a fantastic addition to my sound arsenal. For 70s style stuff I end up using the Todd AO scoring stage because that's where a lot of famous TV show and movie scores were recorded (probably still are!). The concert halls are fantastic as well.

Yeah, I drawl over that one.. but, unfortunately couldn't afford it, so I've been looking for alternative convolution engines in a lower price range, and then put my major investments in a nice IR library, instead. The library in Altiverb looks and sounds awesome!

So far I've gotten LiquidSonics Reverberate http://www.liquidsonics.com/home.htm , and the Briscati and Lexicon libraries from Samplicity http://www.samplicity.com/

I considered the Voxengo Pristine Space http://www.voxengo.com/product/pspace/ , as it has better surround capabilities, but decided against it as it's not compatible for 64bit. I've just ordered a Waves bundle with the IR1 L in it, and look forward to test that also. I considered to upgrade for Komplete 7 with Reflektor in it, but that has not True Stereo, even though it sounds pretty nice, and I don't need the others Komplete stuff, so I let some GAS go there

I A/B'd Reverberate with every reverb I had, including some TC Electronics stuff, and it definitely was a step up, so I'm happy for now, and look forward to have more options for reverbs. Love the fact that you can import your own IR's into Kontakt as well!
