Free Compression, Limiting, etc... plugins from Antress
Hey folks,
I have been trying these plugins out and they seem pretty good. I am not going to say they compare to their counterparts because I don't own any of them. HAHA But these sound pretty decent so far.
Anyone willing to try them out and chime in on their quality... would be great!!!

Yea, it's a bummer... so a number of you can't test drive em and weigh in.dotted8 wrote:No mac versions though
They do compress quite well... so far they all seem to handle a heavy load without sounding like crap. I haven't done too much with the EQs and haven't even loaded either one of the reverb plugins. I have quite a bit of $$$ invested in my current go to verbs so I doubt any free reverb will compete with those. I will try them eventually.

I've had these for a while. I don't think the compressor comes close to the T-Racks opto that I usually use & love (the red one of no specific modelling identity), could just be that I just dig the opto vibe more. But I've found the eq to be really pretty cool. It takes some messing with to get the hang of tough.

I actually have that amp plugin and it is quite amazing not counting it's free. I also have the 7170 and this thing called "The Tube Driver" by him as well. When you put them in front of a convo of an amp, the tones are VERY good.cardell wrote:Thanks Rob.

I have used that Tracks3 "opto" red one you are talking about and I wasn't all that impressed. I'll have to use it more and see what happens.billg1 wrote:I've had these for a while. I love free plugins! The Antress 'Modern Anologuer' has found it's way in lots of my mixes lately. It smears the highs nicely, but I don't like what it does to the lows so much. Like most spices, a pinch is perfect.

I feel the same way about that plugin... I like the FerricTDS much better when talking about the lows.teleblaster wrote:I love free plugins!
