Need a definition of "solely acoustic guitar driven," etc.

Post by cherbear » Mon Jan 03, 2011 9:49 pm

Hi all! Thanks in advance on your help :) I have 2 questions...

1) When there is a call for instrumentals, can there be voices that whistle or "ooooh" with no words (just more of a percussive sound), or is it strictly no voices whatsoever?

2) Also, does "solely acoustic guitar driven" mean use only acoustic guitars (no bass, drums, etc, ) or that we can use other instruments but have the acoustic guitar in the forefront?

I'm still new and will probably be asking lots of questions for awhile - again, many thanks, in advance - I love this forum! :)

I logged in just now to ask exactly the same question. ONLY acoustic guitar or, maybe, no electric guitars, or...?

We really DO need Taxi to clarify this as we have conflicting info from 2 different Taxi folks.

I just called TAXI and reported this whole chain of events, and the fellow on the phone went off to get clarification and came back with the same answer as Anthony's back to Casey: Ac. guit. just needs to be the most prominent element. "There can be other subtle stuff, but when we listen to it, we really want to hear that acoustic guitar above everything else."

I'll post this in the parallel thread too.

LOL...

So many fun ways to respond to that, but I try not to be too terribly naughty in public... fora?
