Year old forward turns into deal...
I thought I'd share this news as I see lots of comments/questions along the lines..."How long does it take to be contacted after a forward?".Well, it takes as long as it takes... These forwards are almost a year old and I've just been contacted about signing a deal. It's a non-exclusive license with payment upfront and they specifically state I am free to continue to pitch the songs for other projects. Not bad, huh?... Honestly, I had completely forgotten about it and this was a nice reminder that all those forwards that we never hear anything from can still be active. Here's one of the songs that I submitted for their "wide variety of pop songs" listing.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... m=trueKeep the faith!

Hi RLD!Very nicely crafted this song. Reminds me Lovin' Spoonful and The Hollies. And I think that "patience" is the key word in this crazy dreamselling business!Good Luck !!!

Congratulations! My first Taxi deal took almost one year to the day from the time I was forwarded to the time I got an email asking if my tunes where still available (silly question, little did they know...).

Rachel,Big congrats, first. And then, THANK YOU so much for posting this. So many of us need to remember these simple facts, and it's fantastic to see proof we can all celebrate about with you.Ted

Hey RLD-- Wow! Don't see a lot of people posting deals that offer money up front with non-exclusive restrictions. Thanks for sharing the story. Hope you find another home for this song (and then another)--
