First Big Deal...

Post by daniel481 » Mon Jan 14, 2008 1:58 pm

Alright, this has been in the works for a while, but I've just finally gotten confirmation that it will be happening. And, though it's not directly TAXI related, I just have to share! Basically, I just got the confirmation that I will be doing music for an upcoming video game from a major company. I can't say too much about the details (they made me sign a non-disclosure-agreement ), and I haven't signed the contract yet (I just got off the phone with them and was told I'll be hearing from their LA office within the next day or so), but I'm pretty dang excited! This is definitely the biggest project I've ever been offered, and I feel like it's a huge step in the right direction as far as what I want to do career wise. So...yeah, I'm excited. And again, while it didn't come as a result of a TAXI listing, I definitely feel like being a member and constantly writing music for all of the listings has gotten me to the point where I'm ready to do a project like this. So I definitely thank TAXI for that!

CONGRATS! Daniel!! You deserve it!Suggestion: I think you should take the name of the company off your post. Even though it wasn't a TAXI listing, it's often best not to mention specific company names. Sometimes people read the name and start annoying the company about submissions. Also, many non-disclosure agreements say you can't even disclose the fact that you are working with them. You could just say "a MAJOR video game company" or something like that. All the best!Casey

Thanks guys! I modified it...I figured that it was a big enough company that it wouldn't matter, but that is probably the best idea But yeah, thanks! It should be a fun adventure.
