A listing, forward, call back, deal...the story

Hey all,I have been a member here since this site first went up, but honestly haven't been around much as it was pretty quiet for a loooong time. I'm happy to see its much more vibrant these days.I thought I'd share a success story as I know it can boost morale when one seems to get no action after numerous forwards.Simple story...Last fall I signed the song "Interstate Boogie" http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=true with a film production company via a TAXI forward and the DVD has been released.It's called "Missionary Man" starring Dolph Lundgren. http://www.amazon.com/Missionary-Man-Do ... ortunately the song isn't featured as prominently as I would have liked...it's in the first 3 minutes and the credits are still rolling.Scene: Dolph walks into a bar, orders and enjoys a shot of tequila while reading his Bible...(don't we all?)My song plays for about 1:20 secs during this, but its mixed pretty low so as to appear to be coming from the juke box.Anyway, it's in there, I got paid, my names in the credits and I await the worldwide performance royalties. I'm like a lot of you...one man band with a computer based spare bedroom studio.Glad to hear of all the success stories! Keep workin' it!

Hey RLD,That's definitely a great story. Congrats to you! That's good stuff ta' hear. Let's others know that this is NOT totally impossible. Thanks folks...I just want to say that with this forum and the addition of TAXI's hosting pages we really have some powerful tools.How cool is it to be able to hear other peoples forwards/returns and learn what works or doesn't work?Exciting stuff...
