Hey Stick,Congratulations!!! After listening I can see why they wanted this. Very nicely done! Great contemporary arrangement of a great classic hymn and a great vocal performance by Tim.Kurt

Thanks guys. We had a good time doing this in the midst of a very busy week... we were tracking acoustic guitars on a 14 song sorta "live" CD for my church, then acoustics and electrics on one song for a "biggish" indie CCM artist, and slapped down this track. I think I did the arrangement and basic programming in a couple hours one day, and then tracked guitars and vocals in a hour or two when Tim was here, and mixed the next day in a few hours.

Quote:I just got the email from an LA publisher/record company that's putting together a compilation CD of hymns that they'd like to use my version of "Nearer My God To Thee". There's no upfront cash, but the backend isn't terrible... won't be a lot of cash, but you never know. Here's the tune:Nearer My God To Thee. That's my buddy Tim singing and playing guitars. The rest is programmed, or me singing the BGVs. We did the recording on the 4th of December, deal on the 28th! Not bad!May you have many more! I used to do a ton of CCM music when I was younger, Stick, plus a mountain's worth of worship for most of my adult life - all I have to say is you've got it. That song, done in one month is better than most would do if given a year. These guys will probably come back to you over and over again (wouldn't THAT be nice?? ). Congrats!!! You deserve itcb
