Feedback for a new Taxi member

I'm going to back out on this request, until I can get to know the forum a little better.

Thanks! Dan

Welcome, Dan!

I myself am limited to Garageband and a guitar.
I listened to your tracks and wondered if you were taking
enough advantage of GBs plug in effects like the tweakable
compression presets. There are some terrific GB tutorials on
YouTube by people who are getting PHENOMENAL results with GB.
One in particular is by a guy who goes by "garagebandandbeyond."
It's on "mixing and mastering in Garageband." I've seen in several times.

It is often said on the UStream Taxi podcasts, if properly used GB is all you
need to produce Broadcast Quality recordings.

Take care

Hey, Dan, and welcome

Unfortunately I don't have time to check out your stuff at the moment, but I will check back. It's usually better if you post one piece at a time and ask pertinent questions on the structure, mix etc., then people are more likey to chip in with good advice. Most people can't spare 20 mins at a time, but those who do will listen to more of your stuff when they go to your page to listen. That make any sense? And feel free to pitch in with your own comments on others' work – that way we'll get to know you and check out your work in response to your thinking... Bla bla bla.

I hope to check back later when there's more time.

Nick
