Collaborating long distance or local?

Post by GinaMarie » Fri Oct 12, 2012 1:42 pm

I have a question about collaborating. Is it better to collaborate with someone locally so we can meet and work face to face or is it possible to do it long distance? I live in the Boston area and looking for someone to collaborate with. I write lyrics and I'm learning to play the guitar and sing a little but I am really not a singer. Any suggestions??
Thanks, Gina!

I quite often end up collaborating long distance out of necessity because I'm in Australia. Most of my experiences have been very positive & productive.

Hi Gina
I think every collab I've ever done has been long distance. It's so common nowadays in this virtual world with email, mp3, file transfer, etc.

I'd love to do some local stuff but most of the folks I meet (mainly thru Taxi forum and rally) are not local to me anyway.

BTW, the link to your Taxi page doesn't work. It would be www.taxi.com/TaxiLoginName where "TaxiLoginName" is the login name you use for your main Taxi account, not the forum one.

Best,
:D Casey

Thank you Casey, I didn't realize my page wasn't working, thanks for letting me know. How do I fix it, LOL I have no idea what I did to it. As for collaborating I am willing to do it any way I can, I am still learning about this business and a little unsure of going about things.

Hi Gina,
FYI, when I clicked your link it took me to the Taxi home page. Don't know what's up, the link looks like it should work to me.

Hey Gina
The link works and brings you to your page. :D 8-) No songs are showing because either you have none on there or none of them are checked as publicly viewable.

Best,
:D Casey
