Post taking a long time to appear in thread

Not sure where to post this query. Here goes.

A couple of days ago I posted a response to a thread in the Lyric Lovers forum.
A message popped up to say my post needed to be "approved" by a moderator.
My post still hasn't appeared (nor is it in my "View your posts" section).
Does it always take this long?

(It will be ironic if this query takes a few days to arrive as well. )

I'm having the same issue. I decided to jump in and join the community more actively online and I can't seem to get a post posted.

Is there a magic button I need to push?
Is it because I can't get an image in my avatar?
Is it because I'm hideously ugly?

Same problem here - I'm new to the forum, and I posted a new topic in the Recommended Gear a couple of times last week, and haven't seen it go through yet. Maybe new posts just aren't getting reviewed lately?

Thanks for posting and bringing this to my attention. I'm looking into this to see what is going on.

From what I can see, all posts are accounted for. This includes DonnaMarilyn, sguiles, and dynamicfx. Because you're able to post on this thread, you are able to post. Please continue to post, and I will look for new posts from you that should be going up.
I perform maintenance on this forum everyday, so I should be able to see anything that you send to me.

I can't post to any thread since I've been admitted to this forum. Whether I reply or start a new post, it says a moderator has to say it's ok.

I'm also confused because I've tried to post twice in Collaboration and the posts don't show up. I recently joined so maybe that the problem? Any ideas? Thanks, Doug

Hi all,
For the newcomer to the forum, there is a delay in being able to post (especially if your first posts are over the weekend), and here's why.
In order for us to keep the forum as spam free as possible, there are a few things that happen.
First you sign up and get a user name and password. You'll get an email that reads the moderator will approve you shortly. This is not an automated service to be approved. If it were, spam would be a serious problem. For the same reason, your first posts have to be moderated. Which again is not automated. After the first posts are moderated again to make sure it's not spambots in action, then you're free to post at will.

Yesterday i posted a query in a thread, but it shows that it will be shown after the approval of a moderator. I just want to know, How long will it take to show my query in thread?
