Your song(s), One More Night In New York City, were forwarded to xxxxx for Dispatch listing # D090422RK!Woo Hoo!!!! ORIGINAL ROCK SONGS WITH VOCALS THAT ARE ABOUT “BEING FAMOUS,” “STARDOM” and “SUCCESS” are wanted by an established and successful Music Publisher based in L.A. who has secured tons of great Film/TV placements for many TAXI members. They are completely open to all styles of this genre (Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Alt Rock, Indie Rock, etc.) but lyrics should be more positive and not at all on the negative side. Male and/or female vocals are OK, but they DO NOT want covers. Songs must be originals. The theme of Being Famous, Stardom and Success must be distinctly apparent within the composition. They are mainly looking for great songwriting with solid performances. Recordings need to be Broadcast Quality (great home recordings should be fine). They offer a non-exclusive, 50/50 split deal - you keep your original copyrights. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than 2:00pm (PST) on Wednesday, April 22, 2009. TAXI #D090422RK

Casey,Congrats. You proved me wrong with this one. I didn't really care for the first draft I heard. I did like the final demo better though. Dean

Thanks all... It's the first song at www.myspace.com/charles_p_hurowitz and launches automatically. This song isn't the easiest to pitch for film/TV because it has some very specific lyrics that are limiting. I have no way of knowing if the library can truly place it for this opportunity ("success & fame songs")-- it takes special circumstances and maybe I'll be lucky and have the right thing at the right time. Casey
