My point is, Taxi had no idea she would be huge when they hired her and I'm not prepared to believe that they saw her as some kind of guru on cool(especially as she had just been dropped by columbia when they hired her) Perry was just in the right time and place...which is how the pop industry works. I quite like Perry...but as a screener? No way.

Again, having been dropped by a label means to me that she had the talent, market savvy and smarts to get on one in the first place. Besides, I'm pretty sure she wasn't the only screener at the time. But we can agree to differ.
