Indian influenced instrumental
Hi!
My track Spicy was forwarded!
CONTEMPORARY SONGS and/or INSTRUMENTALS (in ALL GENRES) with a distinct INDIAN INFLUENCE are needed by a Hollywood Music Supervisor working on the Pilot Episode of a promising new TV Show. He needs contemporary sounding Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs in virtually ALL genres, as long as the performance has some elements of East Indian flavor, either in the instrumentation or the vocal performance. Here are just a few songs he mentioned that could work for the musical direction they’re after: “Jai Ho” by A.R. Rahman ft. The Pussycat Dolls “Don’t Shake It (Let It Free)” by Cornershop “O…Saya” bi A.R. Rahman ft. M.I.A Quoting the show’s Music Coordinator: “We haven’t really found the music to set the tone of the show, but we know it has to be current, with a present or somewhat subtle East Indian vibe. We don’t want solo instruments or traditional sounding Indian music, but something that’s current sounding. If it’s a song with male or female vocals it should be in English. Lyric themes should be positive, maybe a bit quirky, but they should be extremely broad and universal to fit with different scenes.” Submit well-crafted Songs and/or Instrumentals that are at least 2 minutes in length. Indian vocalizations or shoutouts like “Jai Ho” by A.R. Rahman could work well, but not absolutely necessary. Songs with lyrics should be universal in nature, avoiding specific references to names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity. The estimated license fee for this use is $1,000 - $2,000. This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll keep 100% of your Publishing and Master rights, plus you’ll keep 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control 100% of the Copyright and Master to pitch for this opportunity. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). Please do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and vibe. All Songs and/or Instrumentals will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a Music Coordinator working directly on the show. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs and/or Instrumentals no later than 2pm (PDT), on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014. TAXI #U141029ID
