Celine Dion listing AC

I was planning on using one of the demo houses in Nashville for the Celine Dion listing. There is a singer who I heard who can sound AC even though she's in Nashville. I got feedback from her that the song is too rangy. It is an octave and a sixth at the most, with the lowest note being a pick-up, so the important range is an octave and a fifth. Since Celine's range is three octaves, do you think she's really referring to her comfort zone? She also said that I would have trouble getting this recorded but I am shooting for Celine and others like her, so what is your opinion here?
