Stupid question...

Post by eeoo » Thu May 26, 2016 2:40 pm

How the hell do you post photos? Not that I'm eager to post a photo of my mess of a studio after seeing all y'all's sexy rooms but still, I can't figure out how to post a photo on this forum and it's kinda driving me crazy!

You have to upload it to a photo hosting site like imageshack, and then post the forum code provided.

I tried that from Flickr but it just shows a link, not the actual photo. I'll try again.

When you are typing a post, Look at the box under the one you are typing in. "Upload Attachments". Click on browse, click on your photo in one of your folders, make sure it is 256kb or smaller, click on "Add The File" and then "Submit" Wah-Lah!
No need to upload it anywhere else. Maybe for the Avatars u have to have it uploaded somewhere but not pictures for posting.

I'm having trouble too. I got my jpeg size down to 90kb but it still won't upload as an attachment.

I chose the file, clicked add the file, then submit but the pic wasn't there.

It wasn't there when I clicked preview either.

Ive tried a few times to do this.

Might try later and see what happens.

Should I see my photo in preview mode?

I still can't seem to upload photos as attachments and they are a small file size.

It's getting rather irksome

Just shared this on Lester's other posting in the forum.
A simple way of using Dropbox as an external image hosting. Making a bit more step by step explanation here.

Just upload the image(s) to dropbox click "share" then copy the link code.
Go to your TAXI post and in the row of buttons above the text editor where it says B i u Quote.....click the Img button.
Now paste the link code from dropbox between the bracketed Img tags in your post.
Also make sure to replace the last part of the link code...exchanging "?dl=0" with "?raw=1" instead.
That should instantly display your images in all their glory. :)

Hey Vikki
Not necessarily true anymore. The old forum was like that. This forum does allow you to upload pics directly (.jpg under 256K works).

What Cass said.
