Is this a good deal or is it too old? I see posts about it from 2012 so I think it may be outdated (?)

Re: Creation Station
I don't see a problem. Because it is on auction, it's hard to tell if it's a good deal, because who knows what the final bid will be. The full version of Cubase alone is ~$500. Doesn't appear outdated imo.

Re: Creation Station
Creation Stations are usually pre-loaded with DAW software, so if it has Cubase you can use that version as long as you like but without a license, you don't get free updates. There are models available new from Sweetwater for about the same money that come with a warranty, so you can guess which way I'd be leaning.

The license is on the dongle. The Steinberg dongle is included.

Major upgrades aren't free, but you get a discount depending on which version you have.
It sold for about $1200 with shipping.

The basic included software is mostly free programs, Cubase would be extra. The i7 chip is only on the top model, which is $2600, granted there is more ram and some other differences on the newer model. It's sort of like comparing a used corvette with a new Impala.
